BERTHOUD reveals the new RAPTOR

16/01/2018

The new RAPTOR revealed by BERTHOUD, is the second machine to bear the name and comes with a hydrostatic transmission, an ECO mode as standard, a new ROPS approved cab and a new bonnet design.

The BOSCH REXROTH hydrostatic transmission equipped on the RAPTOR range now has ECO functionality as standard. With this functionality, the operator sets a forward speed setpoint for the machine, which automatically adjusts its diesel engine and hydrostatic rate according to the load. This mode can also be combined with the speed regulator enabling the field to predefine a working speed.

Among other new developments, this new feature required an increase in the hydrostatic forward pump capacity.

The 3 speed ranges have also developed to reach 0-18 / 0-25 and 0-40 km/h. This final speed range used on the road is reached at an engine rate of 1,700-1,800 rpm. This new transmission optimises fuel consumption and provides the operator with more flexible use and comfort.
