All of BERTHOUD's spraying quality

Air velocity is a key element in the efficiency of air-assisted and pneumatic spraying. In pneumatic spraying for example, below 300 km/h, the spreader drips and the quality of micronisation deteriorates. Fans therefore play a major role. They must provide sufficient air flow at high speed while limiting power consumption.

The SPEEDAIR and SUPAIR Evolution centrifugal fans developed by BERTHOUD, which are fitted to the TWIST'AIR mounted and semi-mounted sprayers, the WIN'AIR trailed sprayers and the CRUIS'AIR cells and equipment for grape harvesting machines, are distinguished by their original design:

- Polyethylene cage with upper radial outlets
- High performance impeller
- Closed centre

combine air flow and velocity with excellent output thanks to minimal load loss. Tested by the ITV (The French Technical Wine and Vine Institute), they have shown themselves to be both powerful and energy-efficient as well as particularly silent.

Corrosion-proof profiled cage

The engineers in BERTHOUD's research and development department have developed a corrosion-proof polyethylene cage for the SPEEDAIR and SUPAIR fans. Tangential outlets in the upper section limit load losses.

High performance impeller

Thanks to their closed-centre impeller, SPEEDAIR and SUPAIR fans combine power, efficiency and a low sound level. The SPEEDAIR impeller has a diameter of 560 mm while the SUPAIR Evolution's impeller measures 630 mm.

The new SUPAIR Evolution fan was designed to provide increased efficiency in difficult treatment conditions, particularly when used with the VITIFLEX, VITISET or VITIFIRST pneumatic arches.

Fan unit

Whatever the range of sprayers, the fan units have been designed to ensure optimum integration into the sprayer's body, in a way that favours compactness and the ease of handling of the whole system.

Depending on the models (design and integration constraints), intake is at the rear or the front. This prevents the re-intake of spray mixture which undermines the quality of application, increases corrosion risks and leads to the formation of deposits of plant protection products inside the air ducts. Everything is designed for efficiency and maximum versatility.
