The AXIALE boom (2 steel arms) provides outstanding vertical stability especially on bends and excellent performance on sloping terrain thanks to its AXIALE suspension on a central pivot. It compensates for slope variations without user intervention. The AXIALE boom is mounted on a central pivot close to its centre of gravity. Maintaining balance and the alignment of the boom relative to the axle are ensured by 4 springs on the 24 and 28 m version, and by 6 springs on the 30, 32 and 33 m version. Vibrations are dampened by 2 shock absorbers.
The boom is also equipped with an independent anti-whiplash system in polyurethane for each arm. This system reduces horizontal whiplash during acceleration and braking in order to maintain boom structure.
Electrical control of boom movements (ED) is also included.
The AXIALE boom has a triangular structure which enables it to work at a greater speed. It has a great robustness when working thanks in particular to the cylinders which operate with the rod retracted when the boom is unfolded. A vertical nitrogen gas cylinder shock absorber is also fitted on the lifting cylinders. The Quadrix nozzle holders are protected front and rear and the arm ends are retractable in 3 dimensions.
