Nozzles
How to choose the right spraying nozzle
Spraying quality and the effectiveness of phytosanitary treatments depend closely on the type of nozzle used.
The choice of nozzles will be determined by the volume/ha target, the desired working speed (km/h), the working pressure and the type of product used. Nozzles represent less than 1% of the sprayer cost, but they are one of the most important parts. The choice of nozzles therefore greatly affects the effectiveness of the spraying.
BERTHOUD offers a wide gamut of nozzles through the NOZAL range:
- Standard AFX - RFX flat fan nozzlesproduce fine droplets to maximize coverage.
- ADX - RDX - ATX flat fan drift control nozzle with air injection (low pressure) provide perfect coverage while limiting drift at standard application pressures.
- ARX - RRX flat fan drift control nozzle with air injection (high pressure) used at high pressures (> 4 bar) produce large-sized droplets, which should therefore be preferred for certain types of applications (root products for example) and in restrictive application conditions (wind).
- TRIFILET - R5X nozzles with 3 or 5 threads for nitrogen fertilisers designed for liquid fertiliser applications.
