The EKTAR B2 (2 aluminium arms) is available in 36, 38, 40 and 42 m versions and has a triangular frame. It is fitted with pendulo-axiale suspension as standard. Axiale suspension enables remarkable vertical stability, especially on turns, and a very good performance on sloping terrain thanks to its central pivot suspension system. As for pendular suspension, this provides very good performance on rutted flat terrain and enables the boom to be maintained horizontal. Changing from axiale to pendulo-axiale is done in the cab using the pendular control lock.
The hinges on the EKTAR B2 are large-sized in steel, ensuring they lock while working. The unfolding cylinders also work with “rod retracted” when the boom is unfolded, which gives exceptional strength to the assembly.
The boom is fitted with a slope correction and variable geometry system as standard. Controlling the boom movements is done by electric controls (ED) in the cab. The slope control and variable geometries reset is fitted as standard
